The Atrium, Solon Springs

The Atrium is a popular outdoor wedding venue in Duluth MN created by wedding photographers! After being in the industry for years, they know exactly what it takes to have a good wedding venue and how to take care of all the details!

Capacity: Up to 200 guests, no overnight accommodations.

On-Site Suites: The venue offers two spacious, well-lit, and beautifully decorated dressing areas for you and your wedding party to get ready at!

Ceremony Options: You can have your ceremony outside in their beautiful Woods Ceremony site. And there is a plan B option, if the weather turns sour, to have your ceremony in their gorgeous Greenhouse.

Reception: The main reception area is the Atrium itself. It is a big, beautiful converted greenhouse venue, which is surrounded by clear walls and high ceilings. It has plenty of room to host 200 people, the bar and catering, as well as dancing.

Between the Atrium and the ceremony Greenhouse, you will find a spacious outdoor Courtyard. You can use the Courtyard for setting up food trucks, having an outdoor cocktail hour, playing yard games, or planning your sparkler send-off! There’s nothing quite like being under the stars on your wedding day!

The owners of the venue are happy to support you in your timeline planning and provide you with vendor suggestions, as well as offer specific add-ons such as a photo booth, decor package, and a wagon ride for some extra wedding fun!

Clyde Iron Works & The Malting Building

Clyde Iron Works is a restaurant, bar, and event venue in Duluth, MN.

You can choose to host your wedding in one of the two venue options - Clyde Event Center or The Malting Building. Here are the deets on both!

Clyde Event Center

Clyde Event Center is an industrial building turned into a versatile and beautiful event space. The venue features exposed brick walls, large windows, high ceilings, and impressive ironwork, providing you with a customizable canvas for your big day. Decorate as much or as little as you want!

The Clyde Event Center will take care of your catering and bartending needs! You can hold your ceremony and reception here easily and it will all be well taken care of.

Capacity & Reception Areas: The venue has the overall capacity to hold up to 2000 people, however, there are different settings you can choose to rent for smaller weddings.

For a larger event, you can rent out the Event Center which can hold 600 guests seated or over 1000 guests for a standing reception. The space includes a main floor and two balconies for you to use as you wish.

And if you are not planning to have a massive wedding, you can choose to rent either the Mezzanine or the Upper Restaurant & Bar.

The Mezzanine is a semi-private space that could hold up to 130 guests seated or 300 standing.

The Upper Restaurant overlooking the Clyde Restaurant and Brewery is also a semi-private event space that could hold up to 80 guests seated or 150 standing.

On-Site Suites: They also offer spacious on-site rooms for you and your wedding party to get ready. No overnight accommodations are available in this venue.

The Malting Building

The Malting Building is Clyde’s second wedding and event center. It’s a bit smaller than the Clyde Event Center but still very spacious! This is an elegant industrial warehouse-type wedding venue with beautiful wooden walls and high ceilings.

Same as with the Clyde Event Center, this venue is a customizable canvas that you can decorate as much or as little as you’d like.

The Malting Building will take care of your catering and bartending needs! You can hold your ceremony and reception here easily and customize the floor plan depending on your needs.

Capacity & Reception Area: The space includes a main floor and a mezzanine area. The venue can hold 450 guests seated between both levels or 850 guests standing.

On-Site Suites: You get access to a spacious bridal suite to get ready before your big day. No overnight accommodations are available in this venue.

Park Point & Beach House

Park Point & Beach House is a beautiful beachfront venue that offers breathtaking views of Lake Superior. It’s also one of the more affordable Duluth MN wedding venues!

Capacity: Up to 200 guests, no overnight accommodations or on-site suites for getting ready.

Ceremony Options: You can have your ceremony at the beach or on the outside patio of the Beach House. However, you must note that this is a public space, so you can’t block it from public passing through the beach, so you might have a few extra witnesses for your big event.

Reception: You can hold your reception at the spacious and beautiful Beach House. The venue provides tables, chairs, and light decor, but you can have to set up everything else according to what you’d like it to be!

Permits: Since the venue is taken care of by the Duluth Parks & Recreation Division, you have to go through them for all the permits, special requests, and renting procedures. Different fees apply for clean-up and alcohol permits. All of those details are well explained here!

This venue offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to catering and alcohol, making it more affordable depending, of course, on your preferences.

Overall, Park Point Beach House is absolutely beautiful! Exchanging your vows with your partner overlooking the Lake is truly a one-of-a-kind experience!

Rose Garden

Rose Garden is a beautiful place in Duluth MN to hold your wedding or elopement ceremony. It’s a huge garden that features over 3000 rose bushes and other plants, as well as its iconic marble Gazebo, which is the crowd favorite for weddings, engagements, and other special events.

Lake Superior serves as an absolutely stunning backdrop for your ceremony as you exchange your vows in front of the people closest to you.

If you want to take full advantage of the beauty of the garden, I recommend having your ceremony from mid-June through September when all those beautiful plants are typically in bloom.

Capacity: 150 people for a ceremony.

Ceremony Options: The Rose Garden is a public space, so it will remain open throughout your ceremony there, however, when you get the permit, you have exclusive use of the Gazebo area.

Reception Options: No reception is allowed at that location, however, there are several park wedding venues around the area that you can take advantage of after the ceremony at the Rose Garden.

You also have the option to bring in a food truck to your event for an additional fee, but that must be kept either at the parking lot or the Park Point Pavilions.

Permits: For a detailed description of all applicable fees and permits, you can go through this guide here, which explains it in great detail!

Rose Garden is an absolutely incredible place for your wedding, being surrounded by all the beautiful flora and greenery, and it’s also one of the more affordable Duluth MN wedding venue options!
