Dreamy Editorial & Artisan Wedding In North Loop Minneapolis
Candace + Jack Wedding Film
The day had finally arrived for Candace + Jack’s Wedding at the stunning artisan glass blowing studio in the North Loop of Minneapolis, Glass House.
The hype had been real all year as the day approached and I couldn't contain my excitement as I arrived at the location, greeted by the abundance of natural light filtering through the expansive windows and the intricate lighting installations created by talented artisans at Glass House.
As I walked through the space, the play of light and shadow on the textured surfaces, the reflections in the glass pieces, and the overall ethereal atmosphere of the studio, definitely lived up to all the hype. I wanted to create a wedding film that not only showcased the beauty of the location but also told a story of all the attention to detail that Candace + Jack put into their wedding day aesthetic.
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a wedding photographer and filmmaker is the ability to truly connect with my subjects. People sometimes ask, why weddings? Why not commercial work? And I say to that, why would I create something that people are waiting 5 seconds to skip, when I could instead create an heirloom that will be watched and cherished for generations? To me, it’s an easy choice.
The process of photography is a deeply introspective one. It requires me to not only be present in the moment, but to also delve into the emotions and meaning behind each image and fame I capture. It's a constant exploration of light, composition, and subject matter, but more importantly, it's a journey into the heart and soul of the people and places I document.
One of my favorite moments from the wedding was when Candace and Jack were making their thank you address to their guests at dinner. Jack is thanking everyone for coming and Candace…. Well, Candace said, “I wanna thank me! I wanna thank me for finding the HUSBAND OF MY DREAMS!”
Absolutely epic.
It’s these moments, the surprises, the tears, the in-between little clips of audio and conversations that most may gloss over, but for me, this is legacy. Your legacy. So if you're looking for a photographer and filmmaker to capture your special moments in a unique and artistic way, look no further.
Whether it's Minneapolis Wedding, Greater Minnesota Wedding, in my hometown of Duluth, or anywhere your story takes you, I would be honored to be a part of your journey and tell your story through my lens.
