A Wedding Beneath the Water
BECKY & BRI WEDDING FILM
Becky and Bri’s wedding day was both—joyful and irreverent, deeply emotional and wildly funny, grounded in years of shared history and bursting with the kind of love that has already survived real life. Set inside the glowing blue world of the Great Lakes Aquarium, their day unfolded beneath the water, surrounded by family, friends, chosen family, and a whole lot of heart.
A Ceremony That Refused to Be Ordinary
From the very beginning, this ceremony made one thing clear—this was not about tradition for tradition’s sake. It was about intention.
Their officiant put it best: Becky and Bri didn’t choose marriage because society expected it. They chose it because they found in each other a partner in crime, a co-adventurer, an alibi, and a best friend.
Bri spoke first, grounding the ceremony with a vow to choose Becky every single day. To be her healer. Her cheerleader. Her safe place when the world feels heavy. She spoke about protection, about safety, about the courage it takes to love openly—and the freedom that comes from doing it anyway.
Becky followed with a story that spanned eight years of memories: emails that turned into texts, bubble baths instead of flowers, wings instead of white tablecloths, awkward first dates, Lego nights, road trips, goat cheese smells, Portugal drives, four-wheelers, Monopoly games, and a thousand quiet moments that added up to forever.
She spoke about finding herself through loving Bri. About learning how to be happy. About choosing each other again and again, even when things aren’t perfect—especially when they aren’t perfect.
And then came the rings.
“When death takes my hand, I’ll hold onto you with the other.
And I promise to find you in every lifetime.”
There wasn’t a dry eye left.
Speeches That Felt Like Love Letters
The reception carried the same energy—joyful, heartfelt, and unapologetically them.
One speech turned Becky and Bri into Mario and Peach, complete with power-ups, infinite lives, banana peels, and a reminder that this marriage comes with unlimited continues.
Another honored chosen family—friends who’ve traveled the world together, shared homes, protected one another, and promised out loud to defend this love in a world that doesn’t always make space for it.
Becky’s brother reminded everyone that siblings are the ones who see the whole story—the brilliance, the chaos, the magic, the mayhem. From Monopoly game nights to Celine Dion sing-alongs, from skepticism to certainty, it was clear: Bri wasn’t just marrying Becky—she was joining a team.
And through it all, one theme kept returning:
This love matters.
This love is worth celebrating.
This love is worth protecting.
A Day That Felt Like Truth
Becky and Bri’s wedding was about presence. It was about choosing each other loudly and publicly, surrounded by people who will keep choosing them too.
Under the soft glow of aquarium light, with water moving quietly behind the glass, they started their next chapter exactly how they’ve lived the last eight years—honestly, humorously, and with their whole hearts.
This wasn’t just a wedding day.
It was a statement.
And it was an honor to document it.
Becky & Bri — A Love Chosen, Protected, and Celebrated
This wedding wasn’t just the joining of two people.
It was the joining of stories, years of shared life, inside jokes, road trips, quiet nights, loud laughter, and a community that showed up with intention.
Eight years of becoming.
A partnership built on safety, trust, humor, and deep care.
A love that has weathered real life—and chosen each other anyway.
And a room full of people who didn’t just attend, but stood behind this love with their whole hearts.
This is why I love what I do — capturing days where love feels big, honest, layered, and human.
The kind of love that isn’t performative, but lived-in.
The kind that deserves to be remembered exactly as it felt.
Becky & Bri, thank you for trusting me to document such a meaningful chapter of your story.
I’m stoked to have been a small part of a day that meant so much.
Here’s to the years ahead — may they be adventurous, grounding, hilarious, and full of moments that feel like home.
